PEELER FEATURES
The stainless steel peeler features the double edged serrated blade which grips and cuts in two directions. This gripping effect makes the peeler very easy to use, almost no pressure is required making it of particular advantage to people with arthritis.
The 'U' shaped handle allows a comfortable wide grip suitable for left and right handed people.
PEELER APPLICATIONS
- The size of the blade is 50mm
- Advantageous to people with Arthritis
- Highly recommended by the Australian Arthritis Foundation
- Peels any fruit or vegetable. Slices small blocks of cheese
DIRECTIONS
General peeling: Place the peeler flat on the vegetable and use in a backward and forward motion. The serrated blade peels in both directions.
Slicing cheese: Place flat and pull towards you, a little more pressure gives you a thicker slice.
Shredding cabbage: Take a half cabbage and place peeler at a 20 degree angle drawing the peeler backward and forward to shred. Ideal for coleslaw, sauerkraut, spring rolls etc:
Tomato roses: Peel tomato in a complete circular motion, then wind tomato skin around finger creating a tomato rose.
Slicing: Turn the peeler so the blade is facing upward then take your vegetable and strike it across the blade as if striking a match. When vegetable gets small place a fork through the vegetable and continue slicing.
Garlic Slicing: Place a fork through the root of the garlic clove and run across the blade. Sliced garlic does not leave any bitterness as can be left with crushed garlic so it does not overpower the dish you are using it in.
